Seminar program designed for your staff that covers all of the
major laws involving the selection process, the most common mistakes made by
interviewers and sources of people. The following items are included:
- Creation of a custom designed interview guide to insure the
consistency of interviewing candidates.
- Development of reference check forms for both phone and
mail.
- Seminar for the management team covering the following
areas:
- How to utilize job descriptions to find the best qualified
candidates.
- Proven techniques to interview effectively; i.e. appropriate
questions, use of the interview guide, questioning methods.
- How to communicate the standards of the position to the
candidate prior to first day on the job.
- How to present a job offer to minimize future problems.
The training program also covers all major laws and recent
common law cases that are relevant to your organization. Program duration is
either 1/2 day without role playing or a Full Day with role playing.
APPRAISALS, DISCIPLINE AND
PROBLEM PERFORMERS:
Seminar program provides hands on approaches to the issues
related to performance of staff. Program deals with the how to of completing
and presenting the appraisal to the staff member. Program also covers the
following areas:
- Techniques to effectively discipline or terminate an
employee to minimize employee "backlash".
- Discrimination lawsuits and how to protect the company
against them.
- Use of exit interviews.
- How to make a termination a "no surprise" situation.
- Use of your performance evaluation format to determine poor
performance.
- Creation of appropriate "disciplinary forms" for either
"At-Will" or "Just-Cause".
